10,000 Time [Reprise]

Exactly one month ago I posted a video I “made” on the blog combining the music of Philip Glass’ “The Secret Agent Ending” and Harvard University’s Pendulum Wave experiment.  Every now and then I have been checking the view count and as of today, amazingly enough, it has surpassed 10,000 views!!! So just for a little bit of further self promotion here it is again. Enjoy!

Artist: Blu Cantrell/ Album: So Blu

*Full disclosure (not that anyone’s really paying attention) but this song title has already been used upon my passing 10,000 hits on the blog but I felt it appropriate enough to use again.  ‘Cause I know you care…

DANCE PARTY

This video was featured on BoingBoing today and I just felt like it was screeeaming to be accompanied by Philip Glass’ “The Secret Agent”… so I dabbled in a bit of video-editing and put it in myself!  I have been ub-sessed with this piece for years and have been waiting to feature it somehow on the blog.   And heres we are!

Repeat after me

(So I had planned on getting a couple of posts from Alsace done in the last couple of days but that was put to a halt because of a couple of reasons: A. my own lap top decided that two days before leaving to Europe it was going to call it quits and so now I now longer have one.  RIP DELL INSPIRON!  B. My host sister's computer here in Germany is a Mac and I hardly even know how to use those in English, let alone auf Deutch. So enjoy this silly one I wrote before I left the states, and hopefully I can figure something out on the next stop of the tour.)

Wanting to express your inner minimalist? Check out aM laboratory's Tone Matrix and try to become the next Philip Glass.  Don't know who that is... then check this out as well:

He picked up Oscar and Grammy nominations for his hauntingly beautiful score for The Hours.

Also, anyone remember this trippy gem from vintage Sesame Street?
