Leaving on a Jet Plane

I bet you thought this post would have something to do with my move to Texas and leaving Ann Arbor, but it doooooesn’t.
One of the things that I have always wanted to do while living in Ann Arbor was go to the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, Michigan.  The company was founded by Jeff Daniels and one semester in opera workshop a member of the theater came and led a week of improv classes while our teacher was out of town.
My friend, Phyllis, from Pottery Barn actually lives in Chelsea and so we set up a date to go and see their production of Boeing Boeing, which is about a man living in Paris who is engaged three different flight attendants (an American, a German and an Italian).  He works it out by keeping a highly detailed schedule of their flights and planning accordingly UNTIL a big storm keeps them grounded in Paris at the same time.  Hilarity ensues, as so often does in these cases, and it was a fabulous evening out!
